Tennessee Smoky Mountains Bike Tour

April 27, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - April 29, 2018 @ 1:00 pm

$750

While the Smoky Mountains National Park may not have landmarks as famous as Yosemite’s Half Dome or Yellowstone’s Old Faithful, it is in fact the most visited of all the national parks (roughly twice as many as the second most visited park, the Grand Canyon). It is also the most biodiverse park in the National Park system, with an astounding variety of flora and fauna. With beautiful mountain streams & waterfalls, heavily wooded hillsides and gorgeous valleys, it possesses a beauty unique to this part of the world.

Our goal on this Tennessee bike tour is to showcase that special beauty with three gorgeous rides (including the Foothills Parkway and Cades Cove), each providing stunning scenery and really fun curvy roads! We’ve also chosen the quiet side of the Park for our rides, staying well clear of overcrowded tourist destinations like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. (Sorry, Dollywood is not on the agenda!) Using the peaceful setting of the Dancing Bear Lodge in Townsend, Tennessee as our home base, we’ll discover firsthand and from the seat of our bikes what it is that makes the Smokies such a popular destination.
